Since Revival Drum Shop is having a lil’ Drummers Roundtable this weekend—a get-together where we all bring records and listen to things and generally talk a lot about, well you know, drums and drummers—I thought some might appreciate this list I made some years ago for a student. He was interested in what I’d listened to coming up and what I thought young drummers should pay attention to as a foundation.
By no means definitive, merely one man’s off-the-top-o-his-head, idiosyncratic list to lead listeners off on their own paths.
